Lebrun saying Hanafin almost signed a 60 mill dollar extension last month before he decided he wasn't sure if he wants to sign in Calgary.

There is the potential for a heart breaker here. Hronek will want to get paid and the likelihood they trade him at the TDL if the ask is too high is pretty damn low in this particular season. The Canucks have no leverage.

Hronek is an RFA. Plus the inevitable regression from his 109 PDO.

Hronek with anyone but Hughes is also not very good at all.

Hughes- Hronek 201 minutes expected goals 52%
Cole- Hronek 30 minutes expected goals 22.7%
Soucy-Hronek 19 minutes expected goals 17.6%

I do agree that he should get a pretty good contract but on a long term deal that number should not be above Hughes 7.85

Plus we all know that Calgary likes to OVERPAY their players. Hanifin isn't worth 7.5 a season. He's much more Sanhiem, Weegar, Pulock and Parayko at mid 6's

I’d put it at about 5%, but some potential I guess. Not something I’m worried about at all, clearly fits well and is enjoying playing here.

The comparison of Devon Toews at 7.5 has been brought up before. Hronek is to Hughes is what Toews is to Makar. Might get it a bit lower if you go 8 years and NTC for a few years.
